BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Peg Anson
Peggy has been a member of the CTAW board since early 2020. After being introduced to CTAW through a friend, Peggy began volunteering at the theater and was quickly welcomed into the friendly atmosphere which is so characteristic of the CTAW family. Peggy utilizes her experience as a senior HR executive; supporting staff planning, staff development, succession planning, and talent transitions as they occur on the Board.
Maureen Denver
Maureen Denver has been involved with community theatre in some capacity for over 50 years. She has directed, acted, and served on Theatre Boards in Florida, Washington, Massachusetts, Idaho, Texas, Virginia, and Connecticut. As one of the co-founders of CTAW, she has currently served as the Company Manager since 2014.
Dan Denver
Dan Denver, as the main support staff in his family, has been involved in nurturing family members with true theatre creds for some 50 years. In his own right, he has also served on theater and other arts organization boards in Texas, Washington State, and here in Connecticut. He has been CTAW’s Treasurer since 2014.
Lois Fiftal
Lois has an MA in music education and has enjoyed a long career teaching students in grades K-8. She has also trained music educators through professional workshops and university graduate courses nationally. Lois is a writer and composer, having written several choral arrangements which have been published for all ages, as well as two books of song collections for children. While music has always been at her core, Lois also has a deep love of theatre. She signed up for every college drama course offered, and performed in many university productions, including “The Fantasticks,” which earned her the “Best Actress of the Year” Award for her role as Luisa. In addition, Lois has written and directed more than 50 shows over the years for schools, churches, and community theatre. Lois, who is a Founding Member of CTAW has enjoyed supporting and directing productions, and spending quality time with a great group of people who are like-minded in their love and commitment to the fine arts.
Jack Kearney
Jack started his law career in 1972, and auditioned for a part in Carousel, in order to meet potential clients. He ran parallel legal and theatrical careers, retiring as a Senior Assistant State's Attorney in 2010, and continuing as an actor, producer, and director into the unforeseeable future. "When you go to my funeral come up close to make sure. I may be just acting the part of a dead person.”
Sarah Robards
A Board Member since 2015, Sarah directed CTAW’s inaugural production of A.R. Gurney’s Ancestral Voices and has directed and performed in several CTAW productions since its inception in 2014. Sarah studied theater at Herbert Bergoff Studios in New York City, and in Connecticut with Emmy Award-winning writer, director, and producer, Ed Wierzbicki.
Caitlin Williams
Caitlin joined the CTAW board in 2022. She resides in Woodbury with her husband and two children. Before becoming a Mom, Caitlin performed in multiple national and European tours, regional theatres, and Off-Broadway engagements, and enjoyed a co-star role on NBC’s Chicago Med. She received her BFA in Acting from UCONN in 2005.
Tom Wood
George “Tom” Wood has been involved in community theater since his childhood, once playing Oliver at the old Polkadot Playhouse in Bridgeport CT. His Dad directed shows locally and Tom was very involved in those. After moving south at 19, Tom spent 35 years as an HR Manager while as a hobby served on 3 different Community Theater boards as well as serving as President and Artistic Director for the Lexington County Arts Association in SC. Tom has directed and choreographed many productions over the years and is very happy to be back in CT and involved with CTAW.
Kris Geddes
Kris has worked in every “ behind the stage” job, beginning with painting sets right up to producing a show and finally directing. Getting to witness up close all that it takes to create a show gives her a true appreciation of the production ensemble. Kris is a long-time Woodbury resident, teaching at Mitchell School for 20 years. She and her husband Bill have two daughters and five grandchildren who are the stars in her life.
